Tuim chasm
There was a time when this place was called The Cooper mount. Near the Tuim village at the first half of the XX century people mined the non-ferrous metals — wolfram, copper and molybdenum. Works in this mount is carried by underground mining method with explosion and rock drill. Ore took out on trolleys and delivered to the fabric of the non-ferrous metals in Tuim.
The mountain mine was closed because its further development was considered ineffective, poising no hazard to life. Children continued to run to this place, people pastured the cattle, etc. However in time cattle began to fall into the earth. Gradually a hole diameter of about 6 meters appeared in the mountain, and it was decided to blow it up. The explosion formed a huge chasm (diameter about 200 meters) and lake with the emerald water. The distance between the top of the cliff and water is about 120 meters. If you look closely, you can see rails for trolleys in water.
Residents and visitors of Khakassia come there to watch the huge and unusual chasm.
